Polaroid announces a Phone-Camera or is it a Camera-Phone? -CES 2012

Polaroid the famous camera makers known for their instant photo devices have announced Polaroid SC1630 a camera-phone device with 16 megapixel camera and a phone running Android they are calling it Android HD Smart Camera. It has 850/1900/2100MHz WCDMA and 850/900/1800/1900 GSM radios, along with wifi, Bluetooth, GPS and an FM antenna. The SC1630 has an 800×400 3.2″ capacitive touchscreen with 512MB RAM and 512MB internal memory. The sensors include proximity and G-sensor. The ports include micro SIM slot, Micro USB and a 2.5mm headphone jack. The camera is with aperture of F3.1-F5.6, 3X optical zoom and 5X digital zoom, a max shutter speed of 1/1400 and ISO tops out at 3200. It comes with geo tagging and anti-shake support. The camera can shoot videos in 720p. The SC1630 is said to arrive in april for $299 (INR 15,700 approx) . So what do you think, is this a camera-phone or a phone camera ? android-invasion posts on their website that Google is currently building their own custom processor and GPU for the use in its Android devices. They say that a programming employee at Google told their source this information. They further say that Google wants to create a product they can support for an extended period of time, much like Apple with its iPhone. Hacker Cup 2012 announced by Facebook -Schedule

Facebook today has announced the open registration for its second annual Hacker Cup for programmers, the annual algorithmic programming contest for engineers from around the world.The programmers will be judged on accuracy and speed as they race to solve algorithmic problems to advance through up to five rounds of programming challenges. The winner will receive the title World Champion for Facebook’s 2012 Hacker Cup . This is the schedule for the competition, January 20 at 4:00 PM PST – January 23 at 4:00 PM PST72 Hour Qualification round. All registered competitors will be presented with three problems. Every competitor who correctly solves at least one problem will advance to Online Round 1.
