Chinese make infinite storage Hard drive, Which is damn cheap too !!

Chinese made infinite HDD This story is from a person working at a hard-drive repair center in a Russian town, located near the chinese border.  This person has got a broken 500Gb USB-drive for repair from a guy who had bought in a chinese store across the river, for  insanely low price. But the drive was not working: if you, say , save a movie onto the drive, playing the saved movie back resulted in replaying just the last 5 minutes of the film. The technician’s were in shock of their life time They opened up the drive right before the astonished customer’s eyes and they saw what you see on the left. It was a 128MB flash drive, working in a ‘looped’ mode – when it runs out of space, it starts overwriting from the beginning.  Those at the service center are still trying to figure out how did the chinese do that.  Because the drive reports correct file sizes and disk-capacity and the looped-overwriting does not touch the...

Windows users of Open DNS can now encrypt their DNS,DNSCrypt is now available for windows

Open DNS has release a technology preview version of their DNSCrypt software for windows users. The software which was earlier released for OSX users, would encrypt the user’s DNS requests there by protecting them from the eves dropping attack, monitoring the users website activity at the ISP or by some one who changes the DNS requests to drive the user to malicious websites. Open DNS is a private DNS resolving agency used by many instead of their ISP’s DNS by entering the DNS of the company’s server, Open DNS claim their DNS is faster and more secure than the ISP’s DNS. You can download the DNSCrypt by following the link below break,...

Quantum Computer inside a Diamond, Atlast your girlfriend would love computers !!

Quantum Computer inside a Diamond, Atlast your girlfriend would love computers !!

Scientists from USC has built a quantum computer in a diamond, to protect the computer from “decoherence” noise that prevents the computer from functioning properly.                                                                       The diamond quantum computer system featured two quantum bit(called”qubits”), made of subatomic particles. A quibit based on a nucleus, which is large is much more stable but slower. The team was able to demonstrate that their diamon-encased system does indeed operate in a quantum fashion by seeing how closely it matched “Grover’s algorithm” which was invented by Lov Grover of Bell Labs in 1996. Read more on this diamond quantum computer...

Feed your dog through Twitter

Feed your dog through Twitter

Nat, an IT consultant by profession has invented what can be called a breakthrough in care taking. Yes, he has proved the fact that when someone wants to feed their pet or in fact as time goes on even humans its enough if you just send out a tweet. Here’s how Nat made it happen. Twitter Feeder – feedtoby He has set a minicomputer called Nanode microcontroller which when receives a tweet feedtoby starts up the whole process. Nanode is linked with mini motor taken from the Hp Deskjet 500 printer. When the tweet is received the buzzer goes off and Toby comes running and sits under the feeder tube. Then the food comes down and  is dropped into the Bowl. Then a Digital camera takes a snap and sends it to his twitter acount. Verification. Nat infact is in process of upgrading this twitterfeed by adding the feature to weigh Toby before feeding. Sure he is a geek! Now all the pet feeders out there go get someother...
