India beat Pakistan 2-1 in the Azlan Shah hockey thriller

India defeated Pakistan 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at Ipoh (Malaysia). Sandeep Singh scored the first goal for the men in blue in the 29th minute by converting India’s fist Penalty corner. After a thrilling session of play, it was eventually the Pakistani captain Sohail Abbas who equalized by converting a penalty corner after Pakistan had missed 5 of them earlier in the game. It was desperate play from the Indians after that as they built attack after attack. In the last minute of the game, India displayed the talent that is talked about the world over but rarely gets shown on the field. Anand thinks on a move during the 2nd tie-breaker gameagainst Gelfand in the World Chess Championship on Wednesday. Misha Japardize/AP Viswanathan Anand won the nail biting tie-breaker by winning 1 and tied 3  of the 4 tie breaker games against Boris Gelfand retaining the World Chess championship. After 12 games, They were tied 6-6  so they played 4 rapid games with shortened time limit of 25 minutes per player and ten seconds increment after every move is made. Anand won the the second tie-breaker game and tied first, third and fourth game with Boris. Thousands of chess fans watched the game live through internet and at the state Tretyakov Gallery, one of Russia’s finest museums. The winner gets $1.5 million, while the second gets $ 1 million.
