HP announces Slate2, will HP get it right this time?

HP has announced a successor to it’s Slate, A tablet computer supposedly called the ipad killer but was never launched to public after it got not so welcoming remarks from CES 2010. This is the next Windows tablet from HP, it features a bluetooth stylus pen for input which makes taking notes easier. HP says this device is aimed at enterprise customers, meaning it would not sell this device to general public. So it would wait for huge orders from government, students, hospitals and those who are willing to upgrade their devices and cut down on paper costs.HP would price the device at $699 . AMAZON Kindle available in India from indiaplaza for preorder

AMAZON Kindle Fire which was launched last month with much fanfare is available for preorder in India from indiaplaza . The device costs Rs 15000 (300$),which is 100$ above its US price . It is touted as an ebook device with capability of a tablet.  Considering its specs, it is reasonably priced among with already crowded place of Android tablet market in India. Since the device is available only in US , it is being shipped to India by indiaplaza. Amazon announces kindle fire android tablet for $199

At last the most awaited tablet for the month, the Amazon kindle fire has been announced today for $199. In accordance with previous suggestions, the tablet looks in accordance with blackberry playbook. The specs are, 7″ IPS display with gorilla glass, dual core CPU, Customized Android OS (some where around Android 2.3, as Amazon doesn’t seem to have cooperated with Google in developing it’s operating system)  Wifi, No 3G yet. Amazon has also announced Touch 3G for $149, Touch for $99, and Kindle for $79. Amazon has come with a new browser and rendering technology called Amazon silk and Split Browser. The websites in the kindle fire gets rendered in the Amazon’s EC2 cloud servers to provide a fast user experience. As of now kindle fire is US only , lets wait and see whether it gives apple ipad a tough time or whether it is just a nook color killer. Amazon’s ipad killer kindle fire to be unveiled tomorrow

Amazon’s latest kindle running Android which was in development for a while now will be announced tomorrow at a press conference hosted by Jeff Bezos CEO of AMAZON. Sources say that the new kindle would be of tablet form factor and would be called ‘kindle fire‘. The 7″ tablet would look more like a blackberry playbook, cause the tablet is manufactured by the same company ‘quanta‘ which manufactured the playbook for blackberry. This tablet is expected to be priced between $250 – $300 under subsidy from AMAZON.  This Android running tablet was previously expected to put a tough fight with apple’s ipad2 but now with more inputs, this seem to be a contender for a dual with ‘Nook Color‘ series of color ebook reader from ‘Barnes&Noble’ which is priced around 240$ and is being used as a full fledged tablet by many with easy Android hacks. So lets wait and see tomorrow what AMAZON has to offer....

droid life has posted what it claims to be the Motorola Xoom2, the top line tablet from motorola, From the images, the specifications are guessed to be HDMI and micro USB port on the bottom,  big physical flush buttons on the back,  a SIM card slot (LTE we’re assuming),  and no SD slot at first glance.  It has a front camera, a blue rear camera housing that reads “HD”,  and appears to have a 10.1″ screen.   No information on the processor yet, but it is expected to have a quad core processor.
