Luke Wright joins Pune Warriors

Luke wright, the hard hitting allrounder from Sussex is all set to join the Pune Warriors for this IPL season 5.

Wright with a T20 strike rate of 145 in domestic matches coupled with an average of 25 makes him a very good pick for the Pune Warriors.

It is to be noted that Luke Wright scored a t20 Ton for the Melbourne stars during the Big bash league.

With Yuvraj Singh out of IPL 5  and other franchises rejecting Pune’s plea for 5 foreign players and with Jesse Ryder’s in disciplinary behaviour, Pune hopes that their latest pick takes them the distance.

Mean while Luke Wright has got the following to say on his selection.

Twitter:

Delighted to be going to IPL with Pune Warriors. Amazing opportunity for myself and family

Disappointed to miss the start of the Sussex season but an amazing opportunity few could turn away. Thanks 2 all Sussex fans 4 the support

The Sun:

“I missed out in the IPL auction in February but got a call from Ganguly this week saying he wanted me.
“When a guy like that asks you to play for him, it’s hard to turn it down.”
