India Vs Pakistan – The countdown begins! Stats wise Pak holds the edge
India and Pakistan are set to clash again after the world cup encounter on March 18th during the Asia cup league games.
With 10 more days to go the contest has already got the craze it demands. Misbah-ul-haq, captain of Pakistan cricket team has said that the match against India is not a revenge match, as its going to anything will add only pressure to their team.
Pakistan comes to the Asia cup with a series loss to England after whitewashing the Englishmen in tests. Om the other hand India would surely like to forget their past 4 months or so.
Both the teams wanting to forget their recent history the match can be considered as a neutral one with both the sided evenly matched. The contest everyone would like to watch is between the masterclass Sachin and the unplayable Ajmal.
Sachin and his 100th Ton:
|We can’t wait anymore C’mon Sachin.|
Along with Saeed Ajmal, the left and right hand spin from hafeez and rehman backed up by the spin-medium of Afridi willsurely make Sachin drain for his 100th century.
If there can be a match Sachin’s fan would prefer for out little master to hit a century could be this one for sure. With India scheduled to face Srilanka and Bangladesh before Pakistan the feat could very well be achieved before this epic encounter.
If we have a look at the stats for India and Pakistan surely Pakistan are in a dominant position.
To a more relevant stats India and Pakistan have faced 66 times since ODI was introduced in a neutral ground with Pakistan leading 38 to 24. In a desperate attempt we searched for the stats after 2000, the figures were even more bad with Pakistan again leading with 11 to 6.
The figure stands a bit better after 2005 with India and Pakistan winning 3 each which makes it even more interesting.
