Indian Government to set centres to monitor Internet

A high level meeting was organized at the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), India where plans regarding setting up a National Cyber Coordination Center (NCCC) were discussed. The centre will be responsible for assessing cyber security threat on a real time basis and will also be responsible for monitoring Internet traffic. The meeting was attended by officials frosm IB, RAW, DRDO, Home Ministry and Army.
The minutes of the meeting read,

 “Establishment of a multi-agency NCCC for real time assessment of cyber security threat in the country and generation of an actionable report or alerts for proactive actions…,” It was also revealed at the meeting that, “The NCCC would scan traffic within the country, flowing at the point of entry and exit, including international gateway.”
It was also said that the centre would be in virtual contact with the control room of the Interent service providers. NSCS would be hiring professional for NCCC on immediate basis.
